The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner can carry about 250 passengers. This blog was viewed about 1,400 times in 2012. If it were a Dreamliner, it would take about 6 trips to carry that many people.

Wow, time flies!
We are now at the end of 2012. Where I finally started blogging about the things I wanted to share. Looks like I have written 63 posts, that generated 1400 visits from 58 countries. I am glad if my blog was of any use during it’s 3 months of existence.
And apparently, my most famous post was Hollywood on Thames 🙂 Brangelina sells, huh?
I wanted to write more, but time and life’s different surprises sometimes nice, other times not so nice kept me away from writing more.
But here I am now cooking (again) the New Year’s Eve feast decided to write a quick post (have I ever sat down and wrote them down properly?)
First of all, thank you all for following my blog and reading it. Hope I am not boring you. When I see the stats and the search terms it cheers me up 🙂

Secondly, taking this opportunity I would like to wish you all A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
May 2013 be the year of realisation of all the dreams, where we health, wealth and love will reside in our homes!

Happy New Year!

What a beautiful weather we had today. We just decided we would stay within Richmondupon Thames or should we say Hollywood on Thames  today to enjoy it. There are still loads of places we would like to visit or revisit within the borough itself.
So we grabbed a picnic and went along the Thames, our favourtire walk. We passed the Church street (where we like to take some al fresco coffee and gateaus) and spotted Miranda Hart (love love love her) filming her next series in Crusader Travel.
Talking about some of the celebreties (Angelina Jolie, was not lucky enough to see Pitt en flesh or perhaps did not recognise him?) we bump into here and laughing at the name “Hollywood on Thames” of Richmond borough we reached the Rodnor gardens, which is on the way to Strawberry Hill. It is a nice little play ground for kids. And a good spot for a picnic. Apparently a family fun fair is coming on the weekend of the 2nd September. So another date to note. If you happen to wander in this part of Greater London.  For more info click here
From there we went back and finally made it to Twickenham museum. A little museum by the river and full of unexpected surprises. My three year old who is a huge Octonauts fun liked it. As they display local professor Cockle’s self made river diving suit with loads of history and photos. The lovely ladies were quite generous talking about the past of Twickenham and showing some pictures from the past. It is so worth to visit this museum for once at least. A little hidden gem bursting with surprises. And I would deffinately advise to visit their web page, which has kids part too.
Now sitting in my garden and enjoying the rest of the beautiful day,  Ichecked the weather. Looks like rain for 2 days.

I thought it is a good occasion to share a good app for smartphones. Metoffice app. It shows the chance of rain, the weather by the hour. All in all I found it is the  best app for the weather from over 5o I have used so far. I can put the washing out and plan days ahead followig the detailed info in the app. And so far have been so successful, so this is a must app for mums and dads. It is free from play store too.

We then went to the Orleans House. And our little one enjoyed the Paralympic works of local schools’ pupils’ work at the Stables. More about it in the next post.

Now it is getting a little chilly and I better go inside and cook the dinner with my little helper, if she would like of course 🙂
